Towering Perfection and the return of Dragon types

Towering Perfection (S7D) and Blue Sky Stream (S7R) were released in Japan on 9 July 2021 as sister Sword & Shield sets that brought the Dragon type back to the Pokémon TCG. Across the pair you will find Rayquaza VMAX, Duraludon VMAX, Dragonite V and Noivern V, and both later fed into the English Evolving Skies.

Who the Japanese Towering Perfection Booster Box is for

Opening a Japanese booster box is one of the best ways to enjoy a set’s artwork in its original form. Japanese sets usually arrive months before their English counterparts, and many collectors prefer Japanese cards for their print quality and crisp card stock. Many collectors open one box and keep another sealed.

If you are opening it, sleeve your best pulls straight away and keep them in a binder or top loader. If you are keeping it sealed, store it flat, out of direct sunlight and away from damp so the packaging stays crisp.
