Vivid Portrayals: Charizard and Eternatus
Vivid Portrayals (浓墨重彩) was the fourth Simplified Chinese set, released on 18 August 2023 with 286 cards across two subsets: Obsidian (黎, CS2a), with Gigantamax Charizard on the cover, and Indigo (靛, CS2b), fronted by Eternatus. It was designed to bring Chinese players up to date with Sword & Shield cards released elsewhere.
You can see the full set on the official Pokémon China website.
Who the Chinese Vivid Portrayals Eternatus Box is for
Opening a Chinese booster box is one of the best ways to enjoy a set’s artwork in its original form. Simplified Chinese Pokémon cards are made for mainland China, and their sets and products are often put together differently from the Japanese and English releases, which makes them a distinctive addition to any collection. Many collectors open one box and keep another sealed.
