The Perfect Order card list has 124 cards: 88 in the main set and 36 secret rares. Released in March 2026 as the third main expansion of the Mega Evolution series, Perfect Order is led by Mega Zygarde ex and gave four Mega Evolutions their first ever cards. Perfect Order release date

The Perfect Order release date was 27 March 2026. Prerelease events started at Play! Pokémon stores on 14 March, so players had nearly two weeks to try the set before launch.
The set is the English version of the Japanese expansion Nihil Zero, released in Japan on 23 January 2026. As with other Mega Evolution sets, the English version adds extra cards, so the two card lists are not identical.
How the Perfect Order card list works
The main set runs from 001 to 088, and anything numbered 089 and above is a secret rare. The official line-up includes:
- 4 Mega Evolution Pokémon ex: Mega Zygarde ex, Mega Clefable ex, Mega Starmie ex and Mega Skarmory ex.
- Other Pokémon ex, including a very popular Meowth ex.
- 11 Illustration Rares, including a much-loved Clefairy.
- 18 Ultra Rares: full-art Pokémon ex and Trainer cards.
- 6 Special Illustration Rares: Pokémon ex and a Supporter.
- 1 Mega Hyper Rare: the gold Mega Zygarde ex, numbered 124/088.
All four Mega Pokémon in the set were new to the trading card game. Mega Zygarde, Mega Clefable, Mega Starmie and Mega Skarmory were introduced in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and Perfect Order was the first set to print them.
| Rarity | Cards |
|---|---|
| Illustration Rare | 11 |
| Ultra Rare | 18 |
| Special Illustration Rare | 6 |
| Mega Hyper Rare | 1 |
Perfect Order chase cards
These are the Perfect Order chase cards collectors look for first, roughly in order of demand:
1. Mega Zygarde ex Mega Hyper Rare (124/088)
The gold Mega Zygarde ex is the rarest card in the set and the last card in the card list. Opinions on its design have been mixed, but as the only Mega Hyper Rare it remains the top pull.
2. Meowth ex Special Illustration Rare (121/088)
The surprise star of Perfect Order. Meowth is one of the most recognisable Pokémon of all, and its Special Illustration Rare has been one of the most wanted cards in the set since launch.
3. Mega Zygarde ex Special Illustration Rare (120/088)
The full-scene version of the set’s headline Pokémon, showing Zygarde in its complete form. A natural pick if you want the cover star without chasing the gold card.
4. Rosa’s Encouragement Special Illustration Rare (123/088)
The Supporter Special Illustration Rare, with bright artwork of Rosa, the hero of Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Trainer cards like this are always popular with collectors.
5. Mega Starmie ex and Mega Clefable ex Special Illustration Rares
Numbered 118 and 119, these two complete the main chase list. Mega Clefable ex in particular has some of the prettiest artwork in the set.
6. Clefairy Illustration Rare
The most popular Illustration Rare, praised for its soft, storybook style. It pairs perfectly with the Mega Clefable ex cards.
The Mega Pokémon ex in Perfect Order

Each of the four Mega Pokémon ex brings something different. Mega Zygarde ex is the centrepiece, Mega Skarmory ex is a tough defensive card for players, and Mega Starmie ex and Mega Clefable ex give collectors two of the most colourful cards in the series.
Like all Mega Pokémon ex in this era, they give up three Prize cards when knocked out. That makes them powerful but risky in play, and it is one reason players build careful decks around them.
Perfect Order and Lumiose City
Perfect Order is themed around Pokémon Legends: Z-A and its setting of Lumiose City, and the set’s tagline was Secret Powers Awaken. Zygarde plays a central role in the story of the game, which is why it was chosen as the cover star. If you enjoyed the game, the Perfect Order card list is full of Pokémon and places you will recognise.
What is in a Perfect Order booster pack?
An English Perfect Order booster pack holds 10 game cards, a Basic Energy and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live. Most cards are commons and uncommons, with a rare or better in each pack and a reverse holo slot.
The Pokémon Company does not publish pull rates. Community estimates suggest the gold Mega Zygarde ex is extremely rare, so do not expect to find one in a single booster box. The Special Illustration Rares are far more achievable.
Perfect Order chase cards compared with other sets
Perfect Order follows the same rarity ladder as the rest of the Mega Evolution series, with 11 Illustration Rares, 18 Ultra Rares, six Special Illustration Rares and one gold card. What makes it stand out is how spread out the demand is. In Phantasmal Flames almost every top card is a Charizard, while the Perfect Order chase cards include a Mega Pokémon, a classic Pokémon in Meowth and a Trainer in Rosa.
That variety is good news if you are opening packs, because more of the secret rares feel like real hits. Our Phantasmal Flames card list shows the contrast.
How big is a Perfect Order master set?
A master set adds the reverse holo version of the main-set cards to the full card list. Not every main-set card has a reverse holo, so a Perfect Order master set comes to just over 200 cards. That is much smaller than Ascended Heroes and one of the more achievable master sets of the era.
Perfect Order for players
Perfect Order is not only for collectors. Mega Skarmory ex is a strong defensive card, Mega Zygarde ex is built to hit hard, and the set adds useful Trainer cards for many decks. If you play at a local store, a Booster Bundle or Elite Trainer Box is a good way to pick up playable cards while still chasing the rares.

Which Perfect Order product should you buy?

- For the most packs: the 36-pack Booster Box gives you the best chance at the Perfect Order chase cards.
- For a smaller box: the 18-pack Booster Box is a good middle ground.
- For a gift: the Elite Trainer Box or the Pokémon Centre Elite Trainer Box include accessories and storage.
- For a budget: the Booster Bundle or a 3-Pack Blister let you open a few packs.
Tips for collecting the Perfect Order card list
- Use a 9-pocket binder. Ten pages hold the main set, with more for the 36 secret rares.
- Find the Build and Battle exclusive. Rocky Fighting Energy is part of the main set but came from prerelease boxes.
- Sleeve every hit. Put Illustration Rares and above into a penny sleeve and top loader straight away.
- Buy singles for the gold card. The Mega Zygarde ex Mega Hyper Rare is very hard to pull, so buying it is usually cheaper.
Is Perfect Order worth collecting?

Yes. Perfect Order is a manageable size, introduced four brand-new Mega Pokémon and has a varied chase list, from Meowth ex to Rosa’s Encouragement and the Clefairy Illustration Rare. It is a good set for newer collectors who want a full set they can realistically finish.
