Delta Reign Release Date: Every Key Date from Reveal to Launch

Part of our guide to the Pokémon Delta Reign: Set Guide, Card List and What to Buy.

The Delta Reign release date is 6 November 2026. That is the day Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Delta Reign goes on sale worldwide, including here in the UK. This guide sets out every key date for the set, from the first teaser in June to prerelease events, the Pokémon TCG Live launch and release day itself.

New to the set? Start with our Pokémon Delta Reign set guide, which explains the cards, the new Legendary Stadiums and every product. To see which cards collectors want most, read our Delta Reign chase cards guide.

The Delta Reign release date at a glance

Prerelease events finished on 1 November 2026, so the gap between the last prerelease weekend and launch day was less than a week.

The road to the Delta Reign release date

Delta Reign followed the usual path for a main Pokémon expansion: a teaser, the Japanese release, a product reveal and then events in the weeks before launch.

18 June 2026: the first teaser

The set was first teased in June 2026 with Mega Rayquaza ex, the card that went on to front every box and pack. At this stage only the name and the headline Pokémon were known.

31 July 2026: Storm Emeralda in Japan

The Japanese set Storm Emeralda came out on 31 July 2026. It gave collectors their first look at most of the artwork that later appeared in English, including the Mega Rayquaza ex rares and the Legendary Stadium pairs.

20 August 2026: the English line-up

The Pokémon Company published the English product line-up in August, along with the Elite Trainer Box promo: a Kyogre Illustration rare that is only available in the ETB.

28 and 30 September 2026: promos and pre-orders

The four prerelease promos were revealed on 28 September: Masquerain, Magmortar, Enamorus and Kommo-o. Two days later, on 30 September, Pokémon Center pre-orders opened, and UK shops began taking orders around the same time.

Delta Reign prerelease dates

Delta Reign prerelease events ran from 24 October to 1 November 2026 at Play! Pokémon stores. A prerelease is a relaxed tournament where everyone opens the same product and builds a deck on the day, so it is one of the best ways to try a new set before the Delta Reign release date.

Players at a Delta Reign prerelease used the Build & Battle Box. Each box contains four booster packs, a 40-card deck and one of the four prerelease promos. You add cards from your packs to the deck, then play a few rounds against other people doing the same.

If you missed the prerelease, the Build & Battle Box is still a good way to play the set at home. It works as a ready-made starter deck for two players if you buy a pair.

Delta Reign release date in the UK

There is no separate UK date. The Delta Reign release date in the UK is the same as everywhere else: 6 November 2026. English sets launch on the same day across Europe, North America and other English-speaking regions.

Buying from a UK shop means prices in pounds and no import charges at the door. You can browse the full range in our English Pokémon cards section, and booster boxes from every recent set in our English booster boxes range.

Delta Reign on Pokémon TCG Live

Delta Reign arrived in Pokémon TCG Live on 5 November 2026, one day before the physical release. Every English booster pack includes a code card, so each pack you open also unlocks a digital pack in the app.

Keep your code cards somewhere safe after opening. They are easy to throw away with the wrappers, and a box of 36 packs gives you 36 digital packs to open.

Release dates for each Delta Reign product

Blisters and other smaller products follow the same 6 November date. If you only want one product, the Elite Trainer Box is the one with an exclusive card, while the Booster Box gives you the most packs.

How long after Storm Emeralda did Delta Reign release?

Storm Emeralda came out in Japan on 31 July 2026, and the Delta Reign release date followed 98 days later. A gap of roughly three months between a Japanese set and its English version is normal for the Pokémon TCG.

The English set is not a direct copy, though. Delta Reign adds cards from the 2026 MEGA Starter Decks, so it has over 135 cards compared with 113 numbered cards in Storm Emeralda. If you prefer Japanese packs, browse our Japanese Pokémon cards.

What else releases on 6 November 2026?

Delta Reign shares its release date with the fourth wave of Pokémon 30th Celebration products, led by the Ultra Premium Collection Day and the Ultra Premium Collection Night. The two are separate releases, so Delta Reign cards do not appear in 30th Celebration packs.

Our Pokémon 30th Anniversary release date guide covers every wave of that line, including the final products arriving in December.

Where Delta Reign fits in the Mega Evolution series

Delta Reign is the sixth main expansion of the Mega Evolution series, which began in 2025 and brought Mega Evolution back to the card game. Each main set in the series follows the same pattern: a Japanese release first, then an English set a few months later with extra cards added.

If you have collected earlier sets in the series, Delta Reign will feel familiar. The rarity tiers are the same, Mega Pokémon ex lead the box art and the products follow the usual Booster Bundle, Elite Trainer Box and Booster Box line-up. The big change this time is the Legendary Stadium pairs, which our Delta Reign set guide explains in full.

Delta Reign pre-order tips

A Delta Reign pre-order is the simplest way to make sure you get the product you want. These tips help:

• Look for the Pre-order label. Our pre-order products show it in the product name, so you know exactly what you are buying.
• Pick the right product. Compare the number of packs and extras before you order. The ETB has the Kyogre promo; the Booster Box has the most packs.
• Order early for the popular items. Elite Trainer Boxes and booster boxes from a set with a Mega Rayquaza ex chase tend to go first.
• See everything in one place. Our pre-orders page lists every product that has not been released yet.

Should you buy on the Delta Reign release date or wait?

There is no single right answer, but it helps to think about what you want from the set.

• Buy on release day if you want a specific product, especially the Elite Trainer Box with its exclusive Kyogre promo. Popular products can sell out in the first weeks.
• Wait a little if you are mainly after one or two single cards. Prices for individual cards usually move around a lot in the first weeks as more packs are opened.
• Pre-order if you want certainty. It removes the stress of release day and means your order is placed before stock runs low.

Whatever you choose, buy sealed products from a shop you trust. Resealed packs and fake cards appear around every big launch, and a Delta Reign release with a Mega Rayquaza ex chase is no exception.

Release day tips

• Have storage ready. Get penny sleeves, top loaders and a binder before you open your first pack.
• Open slowly. Rushing through packs is how corners get bent and rare cards get scratched.
• Check your cards against the numbers. The main set is numbered to 103, so anything above that is a secret rare worth protecting.
• Set a budget. With Delta Reign and 30th Celebration products arriving together, decide what you want before release day.
